Identification and Characterization of Novel SPHINX/BMMF-like DNA Sequences Isolated from Non-Bovine Foods

چکیده

Sixteen novel circular rep-encoding DNA sequences with high sequence homologies to previously described SPHINX and BMMF were isolated for the first time from non-bovine foods (pork, wild boar, chicken meat, Alaska pollock, pangasius, black tiger shrimp, apple, carrot, sprouts alfalfa, radish, broccoli). The phylogenetic analysis of full-length genomes grouped these together representatives SPHINX/BMMF group 1 2 (eight in each group). characterization genome lengths, genes present, conserved structures confirmed their relationship known sequences. Further iteron-like tandem repeats 1-related revealed a correlation both tree branches as well Rep protein was able differentiate subtypes members. For members, distinct grouping into two clades (A B) subgroups could be detected. A deeper investigation potential functional regions upstream rep gene new dso sso plasmid groups that replicate via rolling circle mechanism. Phylogenetic analyses accomplished by different ssDNA viruses, pCRESS, plasmids replication mechanism, this yielded insights proteins. clear relation proteins confirmed. Interestingly, also verified. Furthermore, theta-replicating Reps is discussed.

Characterization of hemolysins of Staphylococcus strains isolated from human and bovine, southern Iran

The staphylococci are important pathogenic bacteria causing various infections in animals and human. Hemolysin is one of the virulence factors of coagulase-positive (CPS) and coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS). The aims of the study were to characterize hemolysins of Staphylococcus spp. isolated from human and bovine origin, phenotypic- and genotypically. Characterization of hemolysin pheno...

Identification and Characterization of Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated from Iranian Traditional Dairy Products

The lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are an industrially important group of probiotic organisms that play an important role in human health by inhibiting harmful and pathogen bacteria growth, boosting immune function, and increasing resistance to infection.  This study aimed to isolate, identify, and biologically characterize probiotic LAB strains from Iranian traditional dairy products. A ...

Molecular Identification and Antifungal Susceptibility Pattern of Non-albicans Candida Species Isolated from Vulvovaginal Candidiasis

Background: Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is an important health problem caused by Candida spp. The aim of this study was molecular identification, phylogenetic analysis, and evaluation of antifungal susceptibility of non-albicans Candida isolates from VVC. Methods: Vaginal secretion samples were collected from 550 vaginitis patients at Sayyad Shirazi Medical and Educational Center of Gorgan (...

Biologic, antigenic, and full-length genomic characterization of a bovine-like coronavirus isolated from a giraffe.

Coronaviruses (CoVs) possess large RNA genomes and exist as quasispecies, which increases the possibility of adaptive mutations and interspecies transmission. Recently, CoVs were recognized as important pathogens in captive wild ruminants. This is the first report of the isolation and detailed genetic, biologic, and antigenic characterization of a bovine-like CoV from a giraffe (Giraffa camelop...

Identification and Characterization of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Isolated from Bovine Mastitis

Mastitis in dairy animals is considered as one of the most important economic diseases resulting into huge economic loss to the country. In India, the overall economic loss due to mastitis is estimated to be Rs. 7165.51 crores (Bansal and Gupta, 2009). A plethora of bacteria has been isolated and designated as etiological agents of mastitis in dairy animals, but Staphylococcus aureus has been r...
